The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rei tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ryder decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Rei wants to stand back up but Ryder manages to pass into side control.
Rei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ryder has hold of Rei's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rei tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ryder cranks the arm and Rei screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rei, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
