Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Jones (ranked 4148 p4p, 4107 weight class) and Luc Hogan (ranked 271 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jackson Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luc Hogan!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hogan wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jackson Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones connects with a right hand. Hogan shakes it off.
Jab, jab by Jones - just one landing.

Hogan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hogan trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Hogan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hogan slips nicely into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Hogan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.
Hogan trying to pass the guard but Jones defending well.
Jones is in trouble now - Hogan has advanced to mount!
Jones tries to hold on but Hogan pushes him away.
Hogan controlling the position easily from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones tries to hold on but Hogan postures up.
Hogan wants to control but instead Jones manages to regain half guard.
Hogan tries to stand and escape but Jones is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is not content to let Hogan control the position.
Hogan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jones!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hogan misses with a head shot.
BOOM! Hogan connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jones tries to get out of the position.
Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hogan content just to control the position here.
Jones really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hogan trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hogan on the ground.
Hogan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jones can't escape the position.
Hogan unloading with bombs!
Hogan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jones tries to improve his position but instead Hogan has taken his back!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Luc Hogan dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.

Hogan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hogan lands in his opponent's guard.
Hogan passes into half guard.
Hogan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jones tries to kick Hogan off but Hogan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Hogan seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jones is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Luc Hogan!
