Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jaquan Johnson (ranked 4066 p4p, 4069 weight class) and Kin Chingju (ranked 266 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jaquan Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kin Chingju!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Chingju.
Johnson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Johnson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Chingju is controlling him well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chingju tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chingju has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Johnson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chingju asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chingju has hold of Johnson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Johnson seems comfortable defending it but Chingju has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Johnson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Johnson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Chingju couldn't care less - he's delighted!
