Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Torrez (ranked 4020 p4p, 2393 weight class) and Karl White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Miguel Torrez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Karl White!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White gets a double leg takedown into Torrez's guard.
Torrez controls White momentarily but White frees himself.
White looking to pass the guard.
Torrez looking for a sweep. Not yet Torrez, not yet.
White advances to half guard.
White is trying to control the action in half guard but Torrez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
White is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Torrez sees it coming and defends easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Torrez is holding on tight.

White jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Torrez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Torrez and White has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Torrez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Torrez tries to get out of the position.
White tries for a kimura but Torrez is defending well.

White shoots in but Torrez avoids the takedown attempt easily.

White throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Torrez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. White is in Torrez's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White drops back, looking for a kneebar! Torrez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Torrez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Torrez!

White is trying to maintain the position but Torrez is very close to passing his half guard.

Torrez thows a huge punch but White dodges it nicely.
We've been informed that White has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
White wants to get back to full guard.

Torrez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Torrez connects with a nice short shot to White's temple.

Torrez is nestled in close to White, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
White keeping hold of Torrez's head, controlling as best he can.
White is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Torrez scores with a couple of nice shots.

White is looking to cinch up a triangle. Torrez throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to White's body to avoid the submission. White has instead reached around Torrez's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! White arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
