The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andersen looking to score a takedown here. Sweeney is defending well but Andersen drives through and ends up in Sweeney's guard.
Andersen wants to pass the guard but Sweeney is keeping the position.
Sweeney pulls Andersen in close to prevent any damage.
Sweeney manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Andersen manages to get himself to full guard.

Andersen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Let's hope that Sweeney has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like Sweeney might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Andersen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Sweeney closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Andersen to the mat! Andersen manages to get full guard.
Sweeney stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andersen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sweeney slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sweeney looking to sit in guard and control but Andersen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Andersen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sweeney is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Andersen, into his guard.
