Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Akerfeldt (ranked 1990 p4p, 1652 weight class) and Torsten Mjölnir (ranked 230 p4p, 189 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Torsten Mjölnir!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akerfeldt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mjölnir sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Akerfeldt somewhat.
Akerfeldt moves out of range of the strikes.
Mjölnir throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Akerfeldt moves out of range of the body kick.
Mjölnir takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mjölnir takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mjölnir with the inside leg kick.
Mjölnir misses with a kick to the body
and Akerfeldt counters with a slapping leg kick.
Mjölnir lands a leg kick that knocks Akerfeldt off balance momentarily.
Akerfeldt throws out a loose jab but Mjölnir uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mjölnir lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Akerfeldt.
Akerfeldt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Akerfeldt dodges the punch combination from Mjölnir.
Mjölnir misses with a body shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Akerfeldt misses the target.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Akerfeldt connects with a looping right hand.

Mjölnir is rocked!
Mjölnir has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Akerfeldt pounces like a tiger and cracks Mjölnir with a vicious hook! Mjölnir is down but not out! Akerfeldt follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

In his post fight interview, Bjorn Akerfeldt started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
