Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antti Railio!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Butch Frewin!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frewin misses with an attempted mid kick.
Railio lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Frewin at a distance.
Railio scores with a crisp jab that stopped Frewin in his tracks.
Frewin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Railio counters with a straight right hand.
Railio misses with a body shot.
We've been informed that Frewin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

and Railio makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been told by Railio's head coaches at Tappelukerho that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Frewin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Railio.
Railio is looking to wear down Frewin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Railio lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Frewin throws a leg kick but Railio checks it.
Railio swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Frewin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Railio.
Railio backing away here, and Frewin unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Frewin throws a good cross that connects.
Railio loads up on a big right hand but Frewin slips the punch.

Railio lands a big uppercut and Frewin crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Frewin looks OK. Railio waves Frewin back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Frewin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Frewin lands a big head kick that sends Railio tumbling to the mat! Frewin takes a step backwards and waves Railio back to his feet - he wants the finish!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Railio misses with a body shot.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Frewin scoring well with a low kick there.
Frewin throws a leg kick but Railio checks it.
Frewin slips under a jab from Railio.
Frewin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Railio.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Frewin! But no joy.
Frewin ducks under a wild hook from Railio.

Frewin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Railio sprawling to the canvas! Railio rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Frewin finish him?!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Butch Frewin will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Antti Railio's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

The fighters circling - Railio throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Frewin throws an overhand right that lands on Railio's shoulder, as Railio tries to avoid the shot.
Railio throws a jab when Frewin was well out of range.
Railio scores with a body shot.
Railio throws an uppercut from hell that sends Frewin clean off his feet! He's out cold! Railio stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Antti Railio!

During a confident post fight interview, Antti Railio thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Butch Frewin had this to say: 'What in tarnation!'.
