Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Mathews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Random Jobber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jobber has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Random Jobber has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Mathews looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jobber looks gassed!

Jobber really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mathews. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mathews cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Mathews looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Mathews fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mathews is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jobber has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mathews avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Random Jobber is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mathews changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jobber tries to avoid it but Mathews manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jobber to the ground. Jobber escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mathews shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jobber pinned against the cage. Jobber gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mathews closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mathews lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Mathews slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Mathews looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mathews uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jobber has time to react.
Jobber takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Horrible takedown by Mathews or perhaps it was just good defense by Jobber which made him look bad.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Random Jobber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mathews shoots in but Jobber avoids the takedown attempt easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mathews shoots in looking for a takedown. Jobber tries to sprawl out of it but Mathews keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jobber manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mathews decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mathews, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
