The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Kersikov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nelson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kersikov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Nelson is staying active underneath Kersikov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Nelson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
