Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sepi Koli (ranked 1820 p4p, 3116 weight class) and Ray Cartier (ranked 218 p4p, 340 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koli fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cartier fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Cartier feints and as Koli raises his hands in defense, Cartier changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Koli wants to stand but Cartier is controlling the position.
Cartier works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Cartier winds up and cracks Koli with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Cartier is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Koli doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cartier.

Koli knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cartier on the ground.
Koli has hold of Cartier's hands but Cartier slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Cartier stops Koli from getting back to his feet.
Cartier stalling away here and it's allowed Koli to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cartier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cartier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cartier is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Koli is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Cartier throwing strikes but Koli manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Cartier is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Our spies down at at 3Band MMA inform us that Cartier has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Cartier dives in for a single leg takedown but Koli sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Ray Cartier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A head kick lands from Koli that sends Cartier to the canvas. Cartier tries to scramble back to his feet but Koli brings him back down into side control.

Cartier is still in real trouble! Can Koli finish him?

Cartier tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Koli wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Koli decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cartier to his feet.
Koli drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Cartier right on the button. Cartier goes down! Koli follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Koli gets the win via TKO!
