The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Robbie Shakespeare has been cut.
Shakespeare has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Creed .
Shakespeare throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A punch lands to the side of Creed 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Apollo Creed has been cut.
Creed connects with a body shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Creed . That snapped Shakespeare's head back.
Shakespeare doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Creed feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shakespeare sprawling to the canvas! Shakespeare rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Creed finish him?!

Shakespeare is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shakespeare switches off momentarily and Creed cracks him with a monster right hand! Shakespeare topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Creed dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Creed !
