PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Samuel King has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Samuel King seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Billy Green!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
King throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Green on the wrong end of a nice jab.
King takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
King lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Green takes one on the button.
Green shoots in but no luck this time.

King gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Green working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
King working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Green.

King uses the cage to get back to his feet.
King dips to his left and cracks Green with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King lands the left hand.

Green shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Green working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully.
Green throws a big right hand that misses.
King avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Green looks gassed!
King is trying to keep Green in close.
King is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Green missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Green on the ground.
Green is fighting to break King's control of his arms but King is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
King works the jab nicely.
King lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Green takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nice straight punches there by King. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of King.

Green is rocked!
Samuel King is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. King engages and cracks Green with a massive lead left hook - Green tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! King is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
