PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Osvaldo Leandro (ranked 1543 p4p, 2096 weight class) and Danilo Zoric (ranked 188 p4p, 239 weight class). Danilo Zoric told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Osvaldo Leandro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Danilo Zoric!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leandro misses with an uppercut
and Zoric counters with a one-two to the body.
Leandro throws a wild body kick that Zoric sees coming a mile off.
Zoric is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Leandro with a body shot.
Leandro delivers a nice body kick.
Zoric throws the left hand but Leandro avoids the punch easily.
Zoric blocks a head kick by Leandro.
Zoric on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Zoric swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Leandro thuds his shin into the meat of Zoric's side.
Zoric throws a big shot that misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zoric crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Leandro - the referee stops the clock and Zoric gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Leandro. Zoric manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leandro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Leandro definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Leandro tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Zoric is able to avoid easily.

Zoric lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Leandro misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zoric.
Leandro uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zoric has time to react.

Zoric throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Leandro sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A thudding body kick lands there by Leandro!
Zoric blocks a head kick by Leandro.
Zoric moves out of range as Leandro throws a body kick.
Zoric looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Leandro misses with a leg kick
and Leandro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Leandro swats away the attempt to clinch by Zoric.
Leandro is looking to slow Zoric down with leg kicks.

and Zoric counters with a nice right hand that sends Leandro toppling to the canvas! Leandro scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Zoric finish him?!

and Zoric counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
