Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Grant (ranked 2334 p4p, 5534 weight class) and Aoki Ikoa (ranked 270 p4p, 508 weight class). Grant comes into the arena with Ain't It Funny blaring out of the sound system. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jackson Grant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aoki Ikoa!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant misses with a straight right.
Ikoa wants to counter with a clinch but Grant pushes him away.
Grant lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ikoa walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ikoa gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ikoa ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ikoa dives in and grabs Grant's left leg, looking for a takedown. Grant pushes down on Ikoa's head and hops out.
Grant misses with a hook. Ikoa ducked under it nicely.
Ikoa wants to counter with a clinch but Grant pushes him away.
Grant displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ikoa throws out the jab.
Grant defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ikoa.
Grant tries to bum rush Ikoa with a series of wild strikes but Ikoa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Grant throws a combination. Ikoa tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ikoa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ikoa tries to pull guard but Grant forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jackson Grant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aoki Ikoa.
Ikoa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Grant just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ikoa has Grant pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ikoa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Grant fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A slow jab from Ikoa misses its intended target.
A jab from Grant finds it's way through Ikoa's defenses.
Ikoa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Grant as he avoids it easily.
Grant is looking to counter punch.
Grant lands a jab to the head.
Grant throws out a powerful jab.
Ikoa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grant paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ikoa has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ikoa there as he acknowledges the shot.
Ikoa is rocked!
Nice body punch from Grant.
Ikoa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Grant.
Ikoa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Grant lands a big right hand that sends Ikoa crashing to the mat! Grant stays standing though and waves Ikoa back to his feet!
Ikoa is still on wobbly legs! Can Grant finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ikoa walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Ikoa limp body while Grant jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jackson Grant!
