Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cocoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Couillut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couillut shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cocoa but Cocoa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cocoa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Couillut moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Couillut dives in and grabs Cocoa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cocoa pushes down on Couillut's head and hops out.

Cocoa has control of Couillut's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Couillut regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Couillut is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cocoa has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
