Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Charman (ranked 5118 p4p, 4496 weight class) and Danjuma Saheed (ranked 464 p4p, 428 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Charman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Charman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Saheed is trying to control Charman's posture but Charman avoids it.

Charman decides to stand back up. Charman steps back and let's Saheed get back to his feet.

Charman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saheed on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Charman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Saheed's guard.

Charman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Saheed manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Charman stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Saheed has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Charman manages to get his head free but now Saheed has transitioned to an armbar! Charman grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Saheed! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
