The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zitti scores with a jab.
Pony has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Zitti finds it's way round the side to connect with Pony's head.

Pony shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Pony wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Zitti, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zitti takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
We've been hearing good reports from Pony's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Zitti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pony. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pony has hold of Zitti's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Zitti seems comfortable defending it but Pony has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Zitti is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Zitti is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Pony couldn't care less - he's delighted!
