PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Williams (ranked 3741 p4p, 3811 weight class) and KK Snow (ranked 348 p4p, 352 weight class). Williams comes into the arena with Bad Moon Rising - Credence Clearwater Revival blaring out of the sound system. KK Snow is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bryan Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, KK Snow!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow tries for a takedown but Williams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Snow looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Williams takes the fight into the clinch.
Snow blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Williams keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Snow's efforts to push away.
Snow blocks a body shot from Williams.
Williams misses with the head strike.
Williams swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Snow is trying to force a seperation but Williams has the dominant position.
Snow blocks an uppercut.

Williams gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Snow regains guard.
Williams throws a big elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams trying to control but Snow is working from the bottom.
We've been hearing that Williams has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Snow avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Williams pushes down on Snow's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snow is staying active underneath Williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Snow can do anything to dispel that myth.
Snow won't allow Williams to pass to mount.
Williams not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Snow is looking to improve his position.
Snow is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Williams scores with a couple of nice shots.
Snow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Williams lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Snow tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams trying to control the action but Snow is working from the bottom.
Williams looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Snow with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Williams drops an elbow to the side of Snow's head.
Snow has hold of Williams's hands but Williams slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Snow tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg.
Williams is keen to just control but Snow is a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Williams is really struggling to control Snow but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Williams takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Snow keeps working.
Snow flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Williams wants to control but Snow is keeping him busy.

Williams slips a nice elbow through Snow's hands, connecting with Snow's forehead.
Snow is trying to get back to full guard.
Williams moves nicely into side control.
Williams is looking to take a break and control but Snow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Snow tries to improve position but can't.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Williams dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Snow shoots in and gets a takedown into Williams's guard.
Williams is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Snow can do to turn this around?

Snow avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Snow tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard.
Williams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Still in half guard, Williams seems content to control.
Williams scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Snow is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Williams has latched onto it... Big trouble! Williams pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Snow is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Williams!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bryan Williams!
Bryan Williams seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
