The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews shoots in for a takedown but Akita shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Akita shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Andrews's guard.
Akita tries to free his leg and advance position but Andrews is retaining full guard.
Akita wants to control from the top but Andrews keeps moving.
Andrews wants to sweep but no luck.
Akita trying to control the position from guard on top but Andrews is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Andrews is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Akita pushes down on Andrews's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Akita passes the guard and advances to mount!

Akita has control of Andrews's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Andrews regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Andrews wants to hold on but Akita pushes him away.
Andrews is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Andrews prevents Akita from taking his back.
Andrews is squirming around, avoiding Akita's attempts to control the action.
Andrews wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Akita.
Andrews really wants to buck Akita off and get back to his feet.
Akita can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Andrews is looking to escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Andrews has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Andrews is breathing heavily.

Akita looking to break Andrews's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Andrews remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Akita will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Akita is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Andrews knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Andrews for a finish.
