The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Hunt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sershurrapal swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hunt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hunt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Sershurrapal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sershurrapal controls Hunt momentarily but Hunt frees himself.
Hunt tries to free his leg and advance position but Sershurrapal is retaining full guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sershurrapal tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hunt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Hunt is looking to take a break and control but Sershurrapal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hunt is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sershurrapal's shoulder. That is not cool.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunt is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Hunt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sershurrapal defends it well.
Hunt wants to take a breather but Sershurrapal is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunt can't escape the position.
Hunt is controlling an arm, preventing Sershurrapal from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Hunt tries to lock up and control but Sershurrapal gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sershurrapal tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
It looks like Sershurrapal might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hunt is concentrating on defense, preventing Sershurrapal from advancing position.
