The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trovao throws an overhand right that lands on Sanchez Roman's shoulder, as Sanchez Roman tries to avoid the shot.
Sanchez Roman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sanchez Roman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Trovao.
Trovao moves away from the strike by Sanchez Roman.
Trovao fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sanchez Roman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trovao as he jumps to the side.
Trovao lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sanchez Roman's sensitive parts.
Trovao looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanchez Roman is just out of range.
Trovao cracks Sanchez Roman with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez Roman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Trovao scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sanchez Roman tries to clinch up.
Trovao swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Trovao throws a right and a left that Sanchez Roman avoids nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

It looked like Trovao wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Trovao connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sanchez Roman. Sanchez Roman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A nice leg kick from Trovao, right into the meat of the thigh.

It looked like Trovao was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sanchez Roman.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez Roman wants to clinch up but Trovao keeps it at a distance.
Trovao was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Trovao drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Sanchez Roman right on the button. Sanchez Roman goes down! Trovao follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Trovao gets the win via TKO!
