Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Franks (ranked 5001 p4p, 4573 weight class) and Heinz Wittu (ranked 518 p4p, 492 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Wittu or perhaps it was just good defense by Franks, which made it look bad.
Wittu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Franks sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Franks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

It looked like Franks was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Franks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wittu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Franks has managed to get both his arms back between Wittu's legs - danger averted.

Wittu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Franks tries to avoid it but Wittu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Franks to the ground. Franks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As Wittu looks to move away, Franks throws a big counter combo but Wittu just gets out of the way.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
