Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Master Leader (ranked 2102 p4p, 3893 weight class) and Jonesy McGuffin (ranked 252 p4p, 415 weight class). Leader's entrance music is Champions - Kanye West (ft Travis Scott, Quavo, etc…). A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Leader cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McGuffin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

We've been told by Leader's head coaches at Worn Leather MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
McGuffin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Leader ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

McGuffin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

McGuffin lands with a hook. Leader tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Leader throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McGuffin clobbers Leader with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Leader swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Leader looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

McGuffin misses with a looping left.
Leader jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McGuffin wants to counter with a clinch but Leader pushes him away.
McGuffin takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
McGuffin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

McGuffin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Leader dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McGuffin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leader circles away quickly and effectively.

McGuffin connects with the punch.
Donk. Leader catches McGuffin right on the button with a cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A bone on bone clash there as Leader blocks the leg kick.
Leader drops his hands momentarily and McGuffin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Leader scores with a leg kick.
McGuffin misses with an uppercut. Leader saw that one coming.
Leader moves forwards but McGuffin connects with a nice, crisp jab.
McGuffin blocks a jab.
McGuffin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Leader is fending him off so far but McGuffin persists. Nope, Leader circles away and we're back to standing.

McGuffin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Leader just misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Leader lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Leader lands a nice hook to McGuffin's body. McGuffin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
McGuffin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Master Leader dominated that round.
That's time! Leader's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Leader drops McGuffin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but McGuffin looks back up at him and smiles so Leader waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Leader takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McGuffin misses with an uppercut
and Leader counters with a left to the body.
McGuffin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Leader connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A low kick from McGuffin is predictable there
and Leader counters with a crisp right that sends McGuffin to the canvas! Leader follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
