PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Colt Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colt Cannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Cartman!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cartman lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Cannon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cartman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cannon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cannon wants to clinch up but Cartman keeps it at a distance.
Cannon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cannon throws a low kick, looking for Cartman's leg but Cartman calmly moves out of range.
Cartman throws a series of punches but Cannon avoids them all with ease.
Cartman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cannon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Cartman counters with a left hand that sends Cannon to the canvas!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cannon doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Cannon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cannon looking to control.
Cartman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cannon is trying to hold Cartman in close to prevent damage but Cartman has managed to pass into half guard.
Cannon pushes Cartman off looking to stand but Cartman dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cannon is trying to get back to full guard.
Cannon is pressing down on Cartman's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Cannon wants to get back to his feet but Cartman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cannon trying to keep a closed guard but Cartman is proving a slippery customer.
Cartman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cannon is striking but Cartman is not phased and passes to half guard.

Cartman postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cannon to stand up.
Cartman swinging wilding here.
Cartman moves in looking to clinch but Cannon pushes him off.
Cannon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cannon is breathing heavily.
Cannon fails with a takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cartman scores with a jab to the head.
Cartman cracks Cannon with an uppercut from hell and Cannon crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Cartman's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!


Cannon is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cartman wants to get up but he can't break Cannon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Cannon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cartman wants to stand but Cannon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cartman controls from within his opponent's guard.
Cartman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cannon is proving hard to escape from.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cartman sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Cartman dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Cannon closes the distance and clinches up with Cartman, looking for a takedown. Cannon pushes Cartman against the cage but Cartman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cannon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cartman counters with a stiff right hand.
Cannon is looking to clinch.
Cannon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cartman.
Cannon throws a combination that misses
and Cartman counters with a left right combination that sends Cannon crashing to the mat - Cartman wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Cannon out for a TKO! Devastating finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Cartman!
