Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Skyler Holderman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holderman's entrance music is Spit yo Game. A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Skyler Holderman has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Skyler Holderman seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santiago Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Holderman as he avoids it easily.
Sanchez shoots in but no luck this time.

Holderman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Holderman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sanchez's shoulder. That is not cool.
Sanchez is looking for a sweep.

Holderman stands up and beckons Sanchez to his feet.
Holderman tries a head kick but it misses.
Sanchez has his takedown stuffed

and Holderman counters with a takedown into side control.
Skyler Holderman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Sanchez.

Holderman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanchez on the ground.

Sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Holderman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Holderman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sanchez's guard.

Holderman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Holderman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Holderman is looking to take a break and control but Sanchez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Holderman wants to take a breather but Sanchez manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Holderman.

Holderman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

and Holderman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sanchez!
Sanchez is looking to improve his position but Holderman isn't that keen on the idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Holderman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Well Holderman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
