Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gorilla definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Smith wants to control from the top but Gorilla keeps moving.
Gorilla keeping full guard, as Smith tries to pass.
Smith has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gorilla is proving hard to escape from.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gorilla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith landing with the ground and pound.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Gorilla is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Smith trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gorilla's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Smith wants to stand but Gorilla has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Smith manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gorilla on his heels. He'll look to pass Gorilla's guard now, I'm sure.
Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Smith postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Gorilla controls Smith momentarily but Smith frees himself.

Smith content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Gorilla has locked up a guillotine! Gorilla's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Smith is holding on here and Gorilla must be using up a lot of energy. Smith has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Gorilla gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
