Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Davis Riley (ranked 3691 p4p, 3223 weight class) and Rhys Cadwgan (ranked 258 p4p, 227 weight class). Cadwgan has chosen Squeeze the Fruit - The Commodores as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cadwgan jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Riley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cadwgan.
Cadwgan shoots in looking for a takedown but Riley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cadwgan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Riley definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Cadwgan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Riley has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Riley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cadwgan on the ground.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Cadwgan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Cadwgan apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Davis Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cadwgan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

That was a close round but I would say that Davis Riley will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Riley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Cadwgan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Riley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Riley closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Cadwgan! Riley dives in looking to finish! Cadwgan is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
