Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Saint Arai (ranked 2724 p4p, 4578 weight class) and Jesse Kim (ranked 206 p4p, 309 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saint Arai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jesse Kim!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arai lands a jab-cross combination.
Jesse Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arai blocks a jab.
Arai connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kim throws a right hand that misses
and Arai counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Arai cracks a nice hook into Kim's ribs.
Kim takes one to the chin there.
Arai avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Arai went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Arai stuns Kim with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Arai gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kim misses with an uppercut
and Arai counters with a three punch combo that has Kim backing up. Kim nods at Arai to acknowledge the strikes.

Kim throws a poor cross that misses
and Arai counters with a straight right hand.
Arai scores with a sloppy right hand. Kim should have avoided that one.
Kim throws a lazy uppercut
and Arai counters with a straight right hand.
Kim swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Arai appears to be looking for a big counter.
Arai is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Kim misses with an uppercut
and Arai counters with a nice uppercut.
Arai wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kim swings widly with a right hand
and Kim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kim throws a poor cross that misses
and Arai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The fighters circling - Kim throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Arai connects with a nice looking jab.

Kim doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Arai throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kim on the side of the head.
Arai ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Arai lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Arai takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kim rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Arai counters with a stiff right hand.
Kim throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Arai counters with a one-two to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Arai lands with a straight right. Kim didn't see that one coming.
Kim might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Arai counters with a straight right hand.
Kim throws a looping overhand right but Arai ducks down to avoid it.
As Kim looks to move away, Arai throws a big counter combo but Kim just gets out of the way.
Arai digs a good hook to Kim's body.
Kim on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Arai wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Arai scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Arai pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kim back to the cage. Arai follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Arai throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kim stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kim throws a big shot that misses.
Kim scores with a sloppy right hand. Arai should have avoided that one.
Nice uppercut lands for Arai. That snapped Kim's head back.

Kim is rocked!
Arai connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Kim to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Arai!
