PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damian Tonon (ranked 722 p4p, 1283 weight class) and Sickwat Dan (ranked 83 p4p, 134 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Damian Tonon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Damian Tonon seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tonon misses with an uppercut. Dan saw that one coming.
Dan lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Tonon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Tonon lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Tonon wants a takedown.

Tonon is trying to trip Dan . He has hold of a leg but Dan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tonon persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Dan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Tonon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Tonon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dan is just riding it out for now. Tonon eventually gives up the hold.

Tonon lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Tonon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tonon somewhat.
Dan wants to counter the offense by Tonon and move into the clinch position.

Dan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
