Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleki Veainu (ranked 1457 p4p, 1596 weight class) and Judo Dan (ranked 170 p4p, 185 weight class). Aleki Veainu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aleki Veainu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Judo Dan!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Veainu throws out the jab.
Veainu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Veainu staying out of range there.
Veainu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dan was well out of range. Poor timing from Veainu.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dan! But no joy.
Dan swings widly with a right hand
and Veainu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Judo Dan has been cut.
Dan misses with a left hand
and Veainu counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Veainu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dan looks winded!
Veainu tries to close the distance and clinch but Dan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Veainu wants to clinch.

Veainu lands a big uppercut and Dan crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Dan looks OK. Veainu waves Dan back to his feet!

Veainu sends Dan crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Veainu is motioning to the referee to let Dan up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

That has opened up Judo Dan's cut even more.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dan throws a left and a right that both miss
and Veainu counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
