Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Ortiz (ranked 4721 p4p, 4543 weight class) and Vito Romero Jr (ranked 455 p4p, 443 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tito Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vito Romero Jr!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ortiz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Romero Jr napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Romero Jr wants to control but Ortiz postures up.
Romero Jr tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Ortiz easily slips into full mount!
Romero Jr wants to hold on but Ortiz pushes him away.

Romero Jr tries to hold on but Ortiz postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ortiz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Romero Jr can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ortiz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Romero Jr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Romero Jr shrugs it off.

Ortiz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Romero Jr can do to turn this around?
Ortiz controlling the position well here. Romero Jr rolled but Ortiz kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Tito Ortiz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ortiz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Romero Jr for as long as he can get away with.
Ortiz has the hooks in. Romero Jr is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Ortiz is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Romero Jr knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Romero Jr for a finish.

Ortiz is working for a rear naked choke. Romero Jr is not defending it well and Ortiz has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Romero Jr refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Romero Jr's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
