Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shocka Smarty (ranked 4613 p4p, 5354 weight class) and Manuel Bautista (ranked 268 p4p, 293 weight class). Bautista has chosen Reincidentes - Vicio as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shocka Smarty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manuel Bautista!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bautista changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smarty tries to avoid it but Bautista manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smarty to the ground. Smarty escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Smarty attempts a counter takedown but Bautista avoids it well and moves away.

Smarty drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bautista is looking to regain half guard here but Smarty keeps moving and retains side control.

Smarty throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bautista was covering up waiting for the punch and Smarty finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Smarty closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smarty lands in his opponent's guard.

Bautista manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Smarty is trying to trip Bautista. He has hold of a leg but Bautista is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Smarty persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Smarty got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bautista has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smarty has managed to get both his arms back between Bautista's legs - danger averted.

Smarty shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Smarty was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Smarty has control of an arm but Bautista manages to advance to Smarty's back!
I really don't envy Smarty right now.
Bautista looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Bautista cracks Smarty with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Smarty takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bautista wants to control the pace but Smarty is squirming around nicely.

Bautista swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Smarty is now in Bautista's guard. A big mistake from Bautista there, giving up the dominant position!

Manuel Bautista comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bautista has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
