Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Braeden Mccoy (ranked 4603 p4p, 5443 weight class) and Thadd Baddey (ranked 495 p4p, 535 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thadd Baddey!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccoy misses with a double jab.
Mccoy misses with the combination.
Mccoy swings widly with a right hand
and Baddey makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Baddey unleashes a big counter combination but Mccoy bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

It looks like Thadd Baddey has been cut.

Mccoy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Baddey to the ground. Mccoy is now in Baddey's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mccoy is looking to work some ground and pound but Baddey has wrist control.

Baddey utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Baddey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mccoy is controlling him.
Mccoy trying to control the position from guard on top but Baddey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Mccoy misses with the combination.
Baddey lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Braeden Mccoy has been cut.
A lazy left from Mccoy finds it's target.
Mccoy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Baddey feints a jab promting Mccoy to slip. Baddey then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mccoy slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Baddey lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Baddey. Mccoy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Baddey throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Baddey throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mccoy.
Baddey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Baddey misses with a low kick.
No joy there for Mccoy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mccoy Throws a clean left jab. Mccoy Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Baddey's chin! Baddey crumbles to the ground and Mccoy follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Mccoy!
