Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dougie McFistface (ranked 2782 p4p, 2626 weight class) and Nori Voluspa (ranked 304 p4p, 287 weight class). McFistface comes to the cage accompanied by Tiptoe Through The Tulips. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dougie McFistface!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nori Voluspa!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Voluspa clinches up with McFistface and pushes him back against the cage.

McFistface has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Voluspa is trying to keep an underhook but McFistface manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Voluspa kicks off McFistface and gets to his feet.

McFistface closes the distance and clinches.

Voluspa lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McFistface keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Voluspa thows a huge punch but McFistface dodges it nicely.
Voluspa is looking to take a break and control but McFistface is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Voluspa takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Voluspa working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
McFistface is looking for a sweep. Voluspa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Voluspa is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Voluspa connects with a couple of short punches.
Voluspa scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
McFistface is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Voluspa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Voluspa lands a couple of decent looking shots.

McFistface will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

McFistface avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Voluspa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Voluspa drops back, looking for a kneebar! McFistface looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McFistface looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McFistface!

Voluspa tries to bench press McFistface off him but McFistface keeps the position.
McFistface throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

McFistface has hold of Voluspa's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Voluspa tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - McFistface cranks the arm and Voluspa screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Voluspa, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Dougie McFistface!
A relieved looking Dougie McFistface thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
