The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
The Way takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Viking scores with a jab. The Way acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Viking goes for a double leg but The Way avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as The Way continues to drive forward.
Viking prevents a takedown attempt there.
Viking tries to throw a body punch but The Way avoids it by throwing Viking back against the cage.
Viking lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The Way blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The Way gets underhooks to prevent Viking's takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Viking tries a body shot but The Way blocks it.

The Way turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and The Way manages to end up in side control.
Viking is looking for a sweep.

Viking wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! The Way seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Viking is tapping! Wow, great finish!
