Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ludvig Eriksson (ranked 3902 p4p, 2393 weight class) and Reece Robertson (ranked 399 p4p, 273 weight class). Eriksson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, THICC THICCLY. Reece Robertson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ludvig Eriksson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eriksson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Robertson manages to avoid it.
Robertson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Robertson tries a head kick but it misses.
Eriksson fails to land with a series of punches.

and Robertson counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Eriksson down! Robertson is looking to finish but Eriksson is intelligently defending himself.
Eriksson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Eriksson has his foot on Robertson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Robertson works his way back into a safe position though.
Robertson wants to control from the top but Eriksson keeps moving.
Eriksson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Robertson's guard.

Robertson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Eriksson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Still in the clinch, Robertson scores with a nice short uppercut.
Eriksson is trying to drag Robertson to the mat but Robertson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Eriksson throws a punch but it's blocked by Robertson.
Robertson dodges an elbow strike from Eriksson.
A short body shot lands from Robertson as the two fighters clinch.
Robertson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Eriksson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Robertson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Horrible takedown attempt by Eriksson or perhaps it was just good defense by Robertson, which made it look bad.
Robertson unleashes a big counter combination but Eriksson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Eriksson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Eriksson lands a nice shot that snaps Robertson's head back.
Eriksson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Robertson to counter with a crisp jab.

and Robertson counters with a nice uppercut.

Robertson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Eriksson.
Eriksson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Robertson manages to avoid it.
Eriksson shoots in but Robertson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Robertson counters with a three punch combo that has Eriksson backing up. Eriksson nods at Robertson to acknowledge the strikes.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Reece Robertson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
