Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Sidorov (ranked 611 p4p, 4525 weight class) and Ripp Colton (ranked 26 p4p, 192 weight class). Sidorov comes to the cage accompanied by Sidorov's Heart. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivan Sidorov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ripp Colton!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sidorov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sidorov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Colton is fending him off so far but Sidorov persists. Nope, Colton circles away and we're back to standing.
Sidorov fails with the takedown.
It seemed like Colton was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Sidorov moves away from the strike by Colton.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sidorov is defended easily by Colton.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Sidorov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sidorov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Sidorov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Colton keeps working.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sidorov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
It seemed like Colton was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Sidorov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Colton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sidorov somewhat.
Colton stuffs the takedown attempt from Sidorov. Sidorov gets slowly back to his feet.
Sidorov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Colton pinned against the cage. Colton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sidorov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Colton is not content to let Sidorov control the position.
Colton is trying to escape the position but Sidorov is controlling the position.
We've been hearing that Sidorov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sidorov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Colton as he avoids it easily.

Sidorov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Colton to the ground. Sidorov is now in Colton's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ivan Sidorov.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sidorov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
