PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pitter Patter (ranked 1549 p4p, 1394 weight class) and Marques Roy (ranked 198 p4p, 177 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pitter Patter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marques Roy!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Patter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Roy feints and as Patter raises his hands in defense, Roy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Patter is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Roy dives into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Roy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Roy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

After winning the bout, Marques Roy thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
