The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Simon Cross has been cut.
Torres catches Cross with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Torres drops Cross with a big left hand and mounts him. Cross is in big trouble!

Cross is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Oh Cross is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Torres jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cross manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Cross tries to bench press Torres off him but Torres keeps the position.

Torres is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cross has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cross seems to have got his legs back now.
Cross tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cross is not content to let Torres control the position.

Cross gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Torres is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cross is just riding it out for now. Torres eventually gives up the hold.

Cross has momentary wrist control but Torres slips an elbow through the middle.

Cross is looking for a triangle but Torres pushes his legs off easily.
Torres is pushing down on Cross's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cross is fighting to maintain full guard but Torres has managed to sneak the leg through.

Torres is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cross defends it well.

Torres is nestled in close to Cross, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
