Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bones McKenzie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang doesn't manage to clinch there - McKenzie circles away.
Lang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McKenzie as he jumps to the side.
Lang slips a jab and a cross from McKenzie.
Lang steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McKenzie.
Horrible takedown by Lang or perhaps it was just good defense by McKenzie which made him look bad.
Lang misses with a series of wild punches.
McKenzie misses with a combination
and Lang counters with a one-two to the body.

Lang closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McKenzie is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lang has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lang is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McKenzie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lang is trying to get an arm triangle but McKenzie is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lang working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
McKenzie prevents Lang from improving position.
McKenzie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Lang trying to control the action but McKenzie is working from the bottom.
McKenzie pushes Lang off looking to stand but Lang dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lang is trying to work for a kimura but McKenzie is defending well.
McKenzie gets back to full guard.
Lang trying to control the position from guard on top but McKenzie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lang thows a big elbow that misses.

McKenzie has his feet on Lang's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
McKenzie fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lang checks it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McKenzie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lang circles away quickly and effectively.
McKenzie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lang.
McKenzie throws a left and a right that both miss

and Lang counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McKenzie's guard now.

Lang thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lang is breathing heavily.
McKenzie is trying to keep Lang in close.
Lang preventing the sweep.
McKenzie has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lang has passed into side control.

Lang stands up.
Lang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McKenzie as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herman Lang. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McKenzie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Lang counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Lang is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McKenzie kicks off Lang and gets to his feet.
McKenzie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lang sprawls well. Lang wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McKenzie gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Lang connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lang blocks a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Herman Lang dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lang has his takedown stuffed
and McKenzie counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lang's knee momentarily.
Lang closes the distance but McKenzie moves to the side
and McKenzie counters with a two punch combo.
Lang shoots and misses
and McKenzie counters with an inside leg kick.
McKenzie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Lang counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Lang is trying to control the action in half guard but McKenzie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Lang is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McKenzie landing a few short strikes.

Lang wants to lay and pray for a moment but McKenzie keeps working.
McKenzie landing rabbit punches to the side of Lang's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
McKenzie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McKenzie is trying to stand.
Lang prevents McKenzie from improving his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lang slips a jab and a cross from McKenzie.
McKenzie circles away from the clinch attempt
and McKenzie counters with a left and a right that stings Lang.

McKenzie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herman Lang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A left and a right from McKenzie both land. Nice combination.
Lang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McKenzie's waist but McKenzie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lang off to one side.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Lang.
McKenzie throws a low kick, looking for Lang's leg but Lang calmly moves out of range.
Lang fails with the takedown
and McKenzie counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Lang counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McKenzie is trying to stand back up but Lang is controlling him

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lang has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can McKenzie defend it? Lang steps over the head and cranks it - McKenzie is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lang!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Herman Lang!
