Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuentes shoots in looking for a takedown. Carvalho tries to sprawl out of it but Fuentes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carvalho manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Carvalho rushes Fuentes and presses him up against the cage.
A body shot lands from Carvalho.
Fuentes goes for a takedown in the clinch but Carvalho prevents it.
Fuentes gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Carvalho.
Fuentes is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Fuentes throws a right hand that Carvalho ducks under and follows up with a left that Carvalho also avoids with ease.
Fuentes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carvalho swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Carvalho takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Carvalho wants the takedown. Fuentes is fighting it off but Carvalho persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Fuentes's guard against the cage.

Fuentes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carvalho defends well and Fuentes ends up having to push Carvalho into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Fuentes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carvalho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Carvalho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fuentes on the ground.

Fuentes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fuentes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fuentes wants to control from the top but Carvalho keeps moving.

Fuentes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carvalho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carvalho.
Fuentes throws out a counter right but Carvalho avoids it with no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fuentes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carvalho's waist but Carvalho gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fuentes off to one side.

Carvalho closes the distance and pushes Fuentes back into the cage.
Carvalho works on Fuentes's body with a couple of short punches.

Fuentes is trying to drag Carvalho to the mat but Carvalho just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
