Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Dahman (ranked 3085 p4p, 3880 weight class) and Zayn Azi (ranked 225 p4p, 264 weight class). Dahman comes to the cage accompanied by Brand New Guy. Zayn Azi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jeremiah Dahman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremiah Dahman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zayn Azi!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dahman fails with a takedown attempt.
Azi changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Azi misses with a wild body shot.

Jeremiah Dahman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dahman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Azi won't be happy with that.

Dahman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Dahman feints and as Azi raises his hands in defense, Dahman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Azi is wriggling around but Dahman manages to pass to half guard.

Dahman shoots for a double leg takedown but Azi sprawls well. He's pushed Dahman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've been informed that Azi has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Dahman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Azi can do to turn this around?

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dahman or perhaps it was just good defense by Azi, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremiah Dahman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Azi lands a nice hook to Dahman's body. Dahman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Azi clinches up with Dahman and pushes him back against the cage.
Azi using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dahman has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Azi is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dahman is defending well for now.
Jeremiah Dahman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Dahman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zayn Azi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Zayn Azi.
I think Dahman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Jeremiah Dahman was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
