Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michal Reznik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen McNamara!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McNamara scores with a takedown into Reznik's guard.

McNamara is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
McNamara looking to sit in guard and control but Reznik gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
McNamara throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Reznik pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McNamara is keeping the position for now.
Reznik stops McNamara from standing up.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
McNamara looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Reznik wants to stand but McNamara is controlling his posture from full guard.

McNamara not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

McNamara looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Reznik will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Reznik closes the distance and lands a one-two.

and McNamara counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McNamara.

and McNamara counters with a nice double leg into side control. Reznik won't be happy with that.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Reznik is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Reznik is trying to maintain the position but McNamara is very close to passing his half guard.
McNamara thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Reznik has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McNamara is working away from the top position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

McNamara drives through with a takedown into guard.

McNamara gets to his feet - Reznik follows without any prompting.

Reznik shoots in and bounces McNamara off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McNamara is looking to sweep but instead, Reznik has passed into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Reznik's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Reznik is trying to hold McNamara in close to prevent damage but McNamara has managed to pass into half guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McNamara wants to pass the guard but Reznik is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
McNamara looks to land a body kick but Reznik moved away.

and McNamara counters by clinching up.

Reznik wanted to stand there but McNamara had control of the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McNamara had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Reznik is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McNamara Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Reznik's back instead.

McNamara has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Reznik can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Reznik avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Reznik wants to control from the top but McNamara keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McNamara takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Owen McNamara showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and McNamara counters with a shoot takedown. Reznik fights it but they end up in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McNamara scores with a takedown into Reznik's guard.
Reznik is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Reznik is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Reznik drops down looking for an ankle pick but McNamara pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michal Reznik. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reznik closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McNamara to the mat! McNamara manages to get full guard.

McNamara escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reznik gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McNamara working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reznik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reznik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I've got McNamara winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
