Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Gaspar (ranked 3856 p4p, 24056 weight class) and Saint George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaspar comes to the cage accompanied by Narco. Saint George told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaspar misses with the combination.
A little jabbing left from George on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gaspar scores with a sloppy right hand. George should have avoided that one.
Gaspar cracks a nice hook into George 's ribs.
George misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gaspar.
Gaspar gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Gaspar is pushing George up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gaspar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gaspar ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

George takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Gaspar cracks George with a right hand to the side of the head.

Gaspar takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Gaspar has George up against the cage in a clinch.

Gaspar's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

George misses with a punch on the inside.
Gaspar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
George misses with a double jab.
George avoids the head kick by Gaspar.
George fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gaspar manages to avoid it.
George takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A looping hook to the body misses from George . Gaspar does a little dance to reset his feet.
George jabs Gaspar right on the nose. Gaspar blinks but takes it well.
Gaspar motions for George to come forward. Gaspar throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
George let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Gaspar throws a shot from downtown. George moves away and avoids it.
Gaspar plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Gaspar misses the shot to the body.

Gaspar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
George on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gaspar. Gaspar obviously looking to wear him down.
Gaspar lands with a nice combination. George backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Pablo Gaspar has been cut.
Gaspar works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gaspar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
George moves into range and connects with a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gaspar throws a hook but George avoids it easily.

George clinches up with Gaspar and pushes him back against the cage.

Gaspar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Gaspar throws a shot from downtown. George moves away and avoids it.
George now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
George misses the shot to the body.
George takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gaspar lands a big head kick that sends George tumbling to the mat! Gaspar takes a step backwards and waves George back to his feet - he wants the finish!
George is rocked!
It looks like Saint George has been cut.
George throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
George misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gaspar.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Gaspar! George is out on his feet! Gaspar rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - George is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! George is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pablo Gaspar!
