The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Dgh or perhaps it was just good defense by Winters, which made it look bad.
Dgh throws a head kick that misses.

Winters shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Dgh is trying to get back to full guard.

Winters wants to work for an arm triangle but Dgh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Winters wants to pass the guard but Dgh is defending well.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dgh is on top in guard.

Winters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dgh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Winters has control of Dgh's left arm, preventing Dgh from doing any damage.
Dgh chips away with some ground and pound.
Dgh really is a fat lump.
Dgh stops Winters from standing up.
Dgh is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Dgh wants to control from the top but Winters keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dgh connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Winters some visible discomfort.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Winters keeping moving, preventing Dgh from controlling successfully.

Dgh is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Dgh throws a right and a left that both miss.
Winters shoots in looking for a takedown but Dgh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Winters's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Winters throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dgh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Winters avoids it really well and circles away.

Winters pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Dgh was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Winters pushes Dgh up against the cage in a clinch.
Dgh wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Winters tries to pull guard but Dgh won't allow it.

Winters circles away from the clinch attempt.
Winters tests Dgh's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Dgh shoots in for a takedown but Winters shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dgh dives in for a single leg takedown but Winters sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Dgh goes for a takedown attempt but Winters pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dgh goes for a double leg but Winters avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Winters continues to drive forward.

Winters's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Winters shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dgh pinned against the cage. Dgh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Winters goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Winters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nice sprawl there from Dgh as Winters shoots in.
