Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harold Cordova (ranked 4880 p4p, 3544 weight class) and Timmy Tung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harold Cordova could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Timmy Tung's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harold Cordova!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Timmy Tung!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordova closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tung quickly recovers to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cordova in particular looking to stall.
Cordova seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tung for as long as he can get away with.
Cordova thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tung's head.
Cordova seems to be looking for submissions.
Cordova stands up out of the half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cordova shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tung as he jumps to the side.
Cordova clinches up against the cage.

Cordova is trying to trip Tung. He has hold of a leg but Tung is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cordova persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Tung trying to control the position.
Tung can't keep his opponent in guard - Cordova advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cordova content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Tung trying to control but Cordova postures up.
Tung tries to kick Cordova off in order to stand up. Cordova Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Cordova working the head and body with strikes.

Tung is trying to get back to half guard.
Tung is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cordova connects with a decent elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cordova has control of an arm but Tung manages to advance to Cordova's back!
Cordova turns into Tung and is now in his guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cordova's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Cordova is in close to Tung's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Cordova engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cordova works over Tung with some ground and pound from guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Harold Cordova dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cordova fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tung to the ground. Cordova is now in Tung's guard.
Cordova is standing up over Tung. Tung looks to escape but Cordova dives into side control.
Cordova happy to just control the position for now.
Tung wants to control but Cordova postures up.

Tung is letting Cordova control him for a moment.
Cordova lands a nice forearm strike.
Cordova works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Tung is being controlled here.
Cordova advances to mount.
Cordova sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Cordova looking to secure an arm triangle but Tung defends it well.
Cordova tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Tung is bucking up trying to escape but Cordova cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Cordova looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cordova pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Tung looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Cordova just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Cordova is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tung can do to turn this around?
Cordova is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Tung has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Cordova has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Tung taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Cordova doesn't care though - he's delighted!
