As Rodriguez tries to get set, Cortez tries to push him back and clinch up but Rodriguez manages to avoid the attempt.
Rodriguez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cortez throws a big counter combination but Rodriguez scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Rodriguez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Cortez counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Rodriguez badly! He tries to strike back but Cortez puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Rodriguez out cold! Oh man, Rodriguez will never hear the end of this one!

After the fight, Alex Cortez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
