Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Hawk (ranked 850 p4p, 944 weight class) and Thiago Cortes (ranked 112 p4p, 129 weight class). Ethan Hawk has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ethan Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thiago Cortes!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk thumps Cortes with a low kick.
Hawk misses with a lunging right hand
and Cortes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hawk throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cortes counters with a nice body shot.
Hawk throws a low kick but Cortes avoids it.
Hawk scores with a punch to the head.
Hawk lands with a hook. Cortes tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Cortes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Cortes swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Hawk doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Cortes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Cortes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hawk moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cortes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A jab from Hawk finds it's way through Cortes's defenses.
Hawk misses with a low kick.
Cortes lands a really nice looking cross but Hawk seems unphased.
Cortes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hawk looks to land a right hand but Cortes moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Cortes misses the target.
Cortes lands a jab to Hawk's midsection.
Hawk throws a lazy body kick
and Cortes counters with a low kick, right behind Hawk 's knee.
Cortes lands a nice looking body shot.
Hawk swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cortes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Cortes counters with a leg kick.
Hawk dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hawk moves into range and clinches up with Cortes.
Hawk misses with a knee to the head.
Cortes digs a right hand underneath Hawk's ribcage. Hawk let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Hawk is breathing heavily.
Cortes cracks Hawk with a nice body shot.
Cortes pushes Hawk back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Cortes throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hawks head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A short uppercut from Cortes.
Cortes gets through Hawk's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Cortes breaks the clinch.
Cortes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hawk sprawling to the canvas! Hawk rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cortes finish him?!
Hawk is rocked!
It looks like Ethan Hawk has been cut.
Cortes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Oh Hawk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hawk has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Cortes shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Hawk takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Cortes sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Hawk bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

After winning the bout, Thiago Cortes thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Ethan Hawk stepped up to the mic, saying 'In the end he fought like a 'Gentleman', true to his nickname, respecting his mate's money maker.'.
