The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schotel throws a right hand that misses
and Khrapov Jr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Schotel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A quick step to the side and Schotel tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Vasily Khrapov Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A quick step to the side and Schotel tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Khrapov Jr has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
