Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gatis Ginters (ranked 5369 p4p, 4881 weight class) and Faizul Rengazi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gatis Ginters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Faizul Rengazi!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Jrvilinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rengazi goes for a double leg but Ginters avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ginters continues to drive forward.
As Rengazi looks to move away, Ginters throws a big counter combo but Rengazi just gets out of the way.
Rengazi shoots for a double leg takedown but Ginters sprawls well. He's pushed Rengazi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Faizul Rengazi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ginters closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
